Maha Mrityunjaya Japa and Puja

The Maha Mrityunjaya Japa or Mantra was composed by Shukracharya, who, according to Hindu mythology, is believed to be the Guru of Rakshasas (demons). Mrityunjay is another name for Lord Shiva wherein 'Mrityu' means death and 'Jaya' means victory. He is called Mrityunjaya as he is believed to be capable of gaining victory against death. Although nobody can ever measure or define the powers, kindness, and greatness of Lord Shiva, the Mantra is written in the Mahadeva's appraisal (Shiva). The terms 'Shankar' and 'Shiva' mean auspiciousness in themselves.

Furthermore, Shankar, when broken – 'Sham' implies 'Chit Aanand,' i.e., blissful awareness, and 'Kar' implies for the person responsible for the blissful awareness. Hence, Lord Shiva or Shankar is believed to provide 'Chit Aanand' to the devotees who adore, worship, and seek refuge in him. The real secret of the creation of living beings can be seen in a portrait of the form of Lord Shiva. The crescent moon that rests on his head symbolizes human beings' consciousness; Ganga flowing from his Kesha (hair) represents the force of life. Finally, the snake that coils around his Neelkanth (blue throat) symbolizes the myriad of living beings. 

The Maha Mrityunjaya Japa is considered the most powerful ancient Sanskrit Mantras of all time. This Japa includes many holy names and forms. It is also popularly known as the Rudra Mantra, wherein the reference is taken from the furious aspect of Lord Mahadeva. इसके अलावा, शंकर का शाब्दिक अर्थ है - 'शाम' का अर्थ है 'चित आनंद', यानी आनंदमय जागरूकता, और 'कर' का अर्थ आनंदमय जागरूकता के लिए जिम्मेदार व्यक्ति के लिए है। इसलिए, भगवान शिव या शंकर को उन भक्तों को 'चित आनंद' प्रदान करने के लिए माना जाता है जो उनकी पूजा करते हैं, पूजा करते हैं और उनकी शरण लेते हैं। जीवों के निर्माण का असली रहस्य भगवान शिव के रूप के चित्र में देखा जा सकता है। उनके सिर पर स्थित अर्धचंद्राकार मनुष्य की चेतना का प्रतीक है; उनके केश (बाल) से बहने वाली गंगा जीवन की शक्ति का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। अंत में, सांप जो उसके नीलकंठ (नीला कंठ) के चारों ओर घूमता है, असंख्य जीवों का प्रतीक है।

महामृत्युंजय जप को अब तक का सबसे शक्तिशाली प्राचीन संस्कृत मंत्र माना जाता है। इस जप में कई पवित्र नाम और रूप शामिल हैं। इसे लोकप्रिय रूप से रुद्र मंत्र के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, जिसमें संदर्भ भगवान महादेव के उग्र पहलू से लिया जाता है। एक भक्त के लिए आयोजित महा मृत्युंजय जप और होम उन्हें और उनके परिवारों को लंबे और स्वस्थ जीवन के रूप में भगवान महादेव के सभी आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने में मदद करता है। यह जप और होम विशेष रूप से लंबी बीमारी से छुटकारा पाने के लिए आयोजित या किया जाता है और लोगों के लिए मृत्यु शैया पर चमत्कारी साबित हुआ है। महा मृत्युंजय मंत्र को मोक्ष मंत्र के रूप में भी जाना जाता है और सर्वशक्तिमान भगवान से हमें जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्त करने के लिए कहा जाता है। जैसा कि ऊपर उल्लेख किया गया है, भगवान शिव अपने भक्तों को असामयिक मृत्यु से बचा सकते हैं और उन्हें मोक्ष (आध्यात्मिक मुक्ति) प्रदान कर सकते हैं।
